It’ll be really nice to leave the house and not have to wonder if this is the day the old ones are finally going to crumble underneath me.

He’s right, his mom is pretty great. But I think he got the age wrong. I believe she’s only 28.
Today is thursday, I am thankful for one thing, well one person actually.
It was (if my memory is correct) 38 years ago today that my mother was born.
I am so very thankful to have her in my life and to have had her as my mother. She was a fabulous mother and continues to support me and love me more than is probably healthy.
My only complaint is that she set such a great example of being too hard on herself and I picked up on it. But other than expecting even more than the amazing amount she gives there’s not a single step I can think of where she went wrong and that is saying a whole lot.
Happy birthday mom and thanks, so very much.

We broke down and bought a fancy new kitchen appliance this weekend. And there was only one gnome casualty getting it in the house.
I was going to show you a picture, but it’s pretty gruesome.
New stove is new.
This was dinner and it was delicious. Ryan did an awesome job. He even uncorked a bottle of wine for me. I sure did pick a winner.

I can hardly do plating like the professionals but I must say that everything on that plate was damned delicious, so at least there’s that.
